OVERVIEW

Families Forming Disciples is a hybrid, family-focused, thematic-activity approach where groups of families meet with catechists (in-person or virtually) to encounter the Lord together and to encourage each other to live as the Domestic Church in and through their home and family life.

The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship offers Families Forming Disciples as a specific way to assist parish catechetical leaders, catechists, and parents/families by seeking to engage families in renewed ways, to advance family evangelization and faith formation.

The Office of Evangelization & Discipleship is providing 27 weeks of sample lessons for catechists to consider integrating in their faith formation curriculum. Year 1, 2 & 3 are complete and Year 4 is in process.

The lessons are intended to be used either virtually or in person or virtually and can be adapted and changed as necessary.

The ultimate goal of the lessons is to encourage families to pray together and grow together as disciples.
