Till the Soil

“I hope that all communities will devote the necessary effort to advancing along the path of a pastoral and missionary conversion, which cannot leave things as they presently are. 'Mere administration' can no longer be enough. Throughout the world, let us be 'permanently in a state of mission.'”
                                                                     - Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium, no. 25

Preparing a “rich soil” that would bear fruit is the first step recommended for parishes to focus when starting an evangelization and discipleship process, and to advance in the creation of a culture of missionary discipleship at the parish.   As every parish is unique, it is important that there is an initial focus on creating or reinforcing a resilient and balanced structure that will support these efforts, according to each parish’s realities.
